The White Gravel Mines Heaven & Hell Spring Trail Run is coming up on April 4 and if you want extreme, make sure you check out this event!

This race has grown and grown as more people learn about this unique experience just outside of Portsmouth, Ohio

Mud Run - Check Obstacles - Check Great Cause - Check Caves - Check!

If you like mud, they got it!

The entrance to the cave!

As you can see on the cave walls, these caves used to be a place for partying and debauchery. The race directors bought the land a few years ago in order to turn a negative into a positive. They started hosting the White Gravel Mines extreme race to help pay for the upkeep of this incredible area. They also host family oriented events now with a good, christian message. It is amazing to see and hear what this area used to be like and what it has transformed into

Leaving the cave

Before long, you are taking a dip!

Get some of your friends and put together a team. Going through this course with people you know is an incredible experience.

Don't worry about getting back in your car after the race. The good men and women at the local fire department will be there waiting to hose you down after you finish.

Top Male is given the title of "Most Extreme"

Same goes for Top Female

The ministry and outreach of the White Gravel Mines is only getting started. We would like to continue development of the trail run series into a one of the regions finest.

The moneys from the trail runs are used to fund the Cavern of Choices as well as an Easter Drama that is in development to be presented at the future outdoor amphitheater in addition to purchasing new winter coats for The Mylee's Mission's Christmas Event held annually in Portsmouth, Ohio.

At last year's Mylee's Mission's Christmas Event there were a total of 650-Children & 405-Adults totaling 1,055-Special Guests that passed through and volunteers were able to share the true meaning of Christmas with each one. Children received wrapped gifts, crafts, Gideon New Testaments, Christmas sweatshirts, coats, hats & gloves, blessing boxes, small toys, & cookies.

Adults received gospel tracks & DVD's, large coffee mugs filled with treats, a Holy Bible, cookies, & a bag of groceries with a ham. We also took family pictures & gave them to each family.

There were approximately 450-guests standing in the long line that decided to leave when we told them we ran out of coats and the groceries were running low at the Mylee's Mission Christmas Event.

Acts 20:35 tells us, "Remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive." Once again, God's Word has proven to be true.

A huge & special thanks to all who helped with preparation for this very special day, as well as the 125-Workers who spent a long day sharing Christ's love yesterday. Christmas...it truly was a night like no other!
