Deadlines Looming For Charleston Distance Run

Charleston, W.Va.  ,  July 4, 2013  - Competitors in the Charleston Distance Run have less than 60 days before they will tackle the challenge of the grueling Capital Punishment Hill. But two important deadlines are looming before they cross that mountain.

Aug. 1 is the deadline for taking advantage of the early registration price for the 15-mile race and orders also must be received by that date from those who want to buy the special CDR souvenir pullover.

Entrants who sign up for the 15-miler by Aug. 1 save $10 to $20. The registration fee is $35 by that date and climbs to $45 by Aug. 21 and $55 by 9 p.m. Aug. 30. Registration is available at www.charlestondistancerun.com.

Meanwhile, Aug. 1 is also the deadline for receiving orders for the sport-wick stretch one-half zip pullover made of performance fabric (90 percent polyester and 10 percent spandex). The charcoal gray, lightweight pullovers feature the embroidered Distance Run logo in white lettering.

Priced at $40, the pullover can be ordered online by clicking on the link at www.charlestondistancerun.com.  It also can be ordered by mail on forms printed from the website.

This year's Charleston Distance Run, America's 15 Miler, is scheduled to begin 7:30 a.m. Aug. 31 at the West Virginia Capitol on Kanawha Boulevard. Participants can choose between a 15-mile run; three person 15-mile relay; 5K run; 5K walk; and 10K walk.
