Welp... I\'m a blogger now.

Thanks to Pat Riley of TriStateRacer I have the opportunity to start blogging about... well... pretty much whatever I want! Many of you may or may not know who I am so first things first. My name is John Meadows. I am a 23 year old graduate student working towards an MA in Electronic Media at West Virginia State University. I work at Robert's Running and Walking Shop (primarily at the Charleston location). I've been running since about 2005 but have been known to take some time off... and gain a little extra weight.
Running has been a pretty big part of my life since I picked up during my days at Independence High School. Even though I was never really that good I was awarded the chance to run at the college level. I graduated from Concord University in 2010 with a degree in Mass Communications with emphasis in Journalism and Electronic Media.
In August I was in an accident that left me with a broken back among other numerous injuries. You can read about the incident here. Needless to say I am very lucky to be alive and and even luckier to be walking. I am now looking forward to getting back into running and possibly even running some PRs if the good Lord is willing!
